What does a COBB AccessPort do?
When you modify your car using aftermarket components, monitoring is needed to check that everything runs optimally. The AccessPort is made to run diagnostics in your car, highlighting exactly what’s happening and keeping components in their best possible condition as you push vehicles to the limits.
The hand-held device plugs into your on-board diagnostics port (OBD 2 port). From there, you can safely flash, tune and monitor your car to calibrate it to your needs.
The in-depth tuning system can monitor:
- Boost gauge
- AFR (air to fuel ratio)
- OAR (octane adjust ratio) - This tells you how much the car likes the fuel in it. A value of -1 is good fuel for it, +1 is bad fuel
- CAT (charge air temps) - The air going through your turbo and to the engine.
- Coolant temperature - Makes sure the coolant keeps the engine safe)
- Knock sensors
The system can also monitor custom settings that may be available for your auto. Original settings are always saved, so you can come back to them if ever you need.
